GOGO events
GOGO events Pty Ltd is a private, for-profit company wholly owned by the GOGO Foundation. As a result, 100% of the company's profits are donated annually to the charity, which provides safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for marginalized women to grow, heal, and thrive. The foundation also runs an inclusive work program that helps these women secure sustainable, long-term employment.
GOGO Events operates as a carbon-neutral business, striving to minimize energy consumption, increase the use of renewable energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It focuses on waste reduction, resource recovery, and minimizing landfill contributions.
Additionally, GOGO events is a certified Social Enterprise, BCorp, and a certified work-integrated enterprise.
During my placement at GOGO events, my key responsibilities included managing social media accounts, creating engaging content aligned with the organisation’s mission, and enhancing stakeholder communication strategies to foster transparency and engagement. Under the CEO’s mentorship, guidance was provided on various tasks while collaborating closely with the social media advisor and event managers to recognise the organisation’s nature and adopt the appropriate communication style. Campaigns were developed and implemented to reflect the organisation's values, contributing significantly to strengthening GOGO events' online presence.
